A division sentence is a number sentence used to express division. For example, 36 ÷ 4 = 9 is a division sentence.
Other examples of division sentences
24 ÷ 6 = 4
100 ÷ 10 = 10
81 ÷ 9 = 9
A division sentence contains the dividend, the division sign, the divisor, the equal sign, and the quotient.
In 24 ÷ 6 = 4, 24 is the dividend ÷ is the division sign, 6 is the divisor, = is the equal sign, and 4 is the quotient.
