What is a Space Figure? Definition and Examples


A space figure is a three-dimensional geometric shape that occupies space and volume. For example, a cube is a space figure because it has three dimensions (length, height, and width) as shown below.

There are many real-life examples of space figures. Just to mention a few, pipes, balls, and ice cream cones are all examples of space figure. A pipe is a cylinder, a ball is a sphere, and ice cream cones are of course shaped like cones.
