What is a Positive Integer? Definition and Examples


A positive integer is an integer that is bigger than 0. In other words, a positive integer is just a natural number. The first 10 positive integers are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Real-life examples of positive integers


Suppose a classroom has 24 students. 24 is a positive integer.

Suppose a book has 354 pages. 354 is a positive integer. 

Suppose an airplane travels a distance of 1600 kilometers. 1600 kilometers is a positive integer.
