What is the hundredths place? Definition and examples


The hundredths place is the name of the next place to the right of tenths in a decimal number. It is the second digit to the right of the decimal point as shown in the figure below.

In the number 48.652, 5 is in the hundredths place

In the number 60.409, 0 is in the hundredths place

In the number 99.120, 2 is in the hundredths place
